The present invention relates to an apparatus for estimating the state of charge (SOC) of a battery and, more specifically, to an apparatus and a method for estimating the state of charge (SOC) of a battery which can estimate the state of charge (SOC) of a battery based on the internal resistance of the battery. To this end, according to one embodiment of the present invention, the method for estimating the state of charge of a battery comprises: a step of using state data to determine whether an estimation entry condition is satisfied; a step of generating an initial state of charge (SOC) by using the internal resistance of a battery if the state data satisfy the estimation entry condition; a step of generating a first retention capacity of the battery by using the initial SOC; a step of generating a second retention capacity by using the first retention capacity and charging efficiency; and a step of estimating the SOC of the battery by using the second retention capacity.

    본 발명은 배터리의 충전 상태 추정 장치에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 배터리의 내부저항을 기반으로 배터리의 충전 상태(State Of Charge: SOC)를 추정할 수 있는 배터리의 충전 상태 추정 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 이를 위해, 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 배터리의 충전 상태 추정 방법은 상태 데이터를 이용하여 추정 진입 조건에 만족하는지를 판단하는 단계, 상기 상태 데이터가 추정 진입 조건에 만족하면 배터리의 내부저항을 이용하여 이용하여 초기 충전 상태(State Of Charge: SOC)를 생성하는 단계, 상기 초기 SOC를 이용하여 상기 배터리의 제1 보유 용량을 생성하는 단계, 상기 제1 보유 용량 및 충전 효율을 이용하여 제2 보유 용량을 생성하는 단계, 및 상기 제2 보유 용량을 이용하여 상기 배터리의 SOC를 추정하는 단계를 포함한다.
