According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for controlling a rear wheel of a vehicle comprises: a brake traction control system (BTCS) detecting whether a rear wheel driving spin of a vehicle is generated in an activated state of an RCU system and determining a spin control amount; a torque vectoring by brake (TVBB) detecting whether a rear wheel turning understeer of the vehicle is generated in the activated state of the RCU system and determining a torque vector control amount; a control unit generating an EPB torque current control command corresponding to the spin control amount determined in the BTCS or the torque vector control amount determined in the TVBB; and a driving unit performing EPB torque control on a rear wheel driving wheel in accordance with the EPB torque current control command generated in the control unit.

    본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 차량의 후륜 제어 장치는, RCU 시스템의 활성화 상태에서 차량의 후륜 구동 스핀 발생 여부를 감지하고 스핀 제어량을 결정하는 BTCS(Brake Traction Control System); RCU 시스템의 활성화 상태에서 차량의 후륜 선회 언더스티어 발생 여부를 감지하고 토크 벡터 제어량을 결정하는 TVBB(Torque Vectoring By Brake); 상기 BTCS(Brake Traction Control System)에서 결정된 스핀 제어량 또는 상기 TVBB(Torque Vectoring By Brake)에서 결정된 토크 벡터 제어량에 대응하는 EPB 토크 전류 제어 지령을 생성하는 제어부; 및 상기 제어부에서 생성된 EPB 토크 전류 제어 지령에 따라 후륜 구동휠에 EPB 토크 제어를 수행하는 구동부;를 포함하는 점에 그 특징이 있다.
