The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a battery case for an electric vehicle and a battery case manufactured thereby, comprising the steps of: (a) manufacturing a billet for extrusion including a cylindrical core material and a hollow cylindrical case surrounding the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical core material; and (b) extruding the extrusion billet to produce an extruded material in the shape of a battery case, thereby capable of manufacturing battery cases for electric vehicles with excellent physical properties through a simple and mass-production manufacturing process.
