The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a battery case of an electric vehicle and a battery case manufactured thereby, the method comprising the steps of: (a) manufacturing an extrusion billet comprising a cylindrical core material and a hollow cylindrical case surrounding the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical core material; and (b) extruding the extrusion billet to manufacture an extruded material having a battery case shape.
