The present invention relates to an electric vehicle charging control device and method thereof, and more specifically, to a charging control device that varies charging methods depending on the temperature of a battery mounted on an electric vehicle and an electric vehicle charging method thereof. The electric vehicle charging control device according to an embodiment of the present invention can be formed in an electric vehicle and comprises a temperature sensor that generates temperature information by sensing the temperature of a battery targeted for charging, a processor, and memory connected to the processor. The memory may store program instructions that are executable by the processor and rapidly charge the battery using a maximum current value that maintains a temperature below a preset second threshold temperature when the temperature information indicates a temperature above a preset first threshold temperature. According to the present invention, the efficiency of rapid charging can be maximized while preventing battery deterioration and accidents.

    본 발명은 전기차 충전 제어 장치 및 그 방법에 대한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 전기차에 장착된 배터리의 온도에 따라 충전 방법을 달리하는 충전 제어 장치 및 그 방법에 대한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 전기차 충전 제어 장치는 전기차에 형성될 수 있고, 충전의 대상이 되는 배터리의 온도를 센싱하여 온도정보를 생성하는 온도센서, 프로세서 및 프로세서에 연결되는 메모리를 포함하되, 메모리는 프로세서에 의해 실행 가능한, 온도정보가 미리 설정된 제1 임계온도 이상이면 미리 설정된 제2 임계온도 미만을 유지하는 최대전류값을 이용하여 배터리를 급속 충전시키는 프로그램 명령어들을 저장할 수 있다. 본 발명에 따르면, 배터리 열화 및 사고를 방지하면서 급속 충전의 효율을 극대화할 수 있다.
