The present disclosure relates to an emergency braking system and method. Specifically, the emergency braking system according to the present disclosure comprises: a gravity sensor for detecting gravity applied to a host vehicle; a sensor unit including a vehicle speed sensor for detecting a vehicle speed of the host vehicle; a slope calculation unit which calculates a slope of a road surface, on which the host vehicle is driving, based on the vehicle speed and gravity of the host vehicle; and a control unit which adjusts an AEB warning time based on the calculated slope of the road surface. The emergency braking system calculates the slope of the road surface and adjusts the AEB warning time according to the slope.
본 개시는 긴급 제동 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 구체적으로 본 개시에 따른 긴급 제동 시스템은 자차량에 인가되는 중력을 감지하는 중력 센서, 자차량의 차속을 감지하는 차속센서를 포함하는 센서부, 자차량의 차속 및 중력을 기초로 자차량이 주행 중인 노면의 경사도를 산출하는 경사도 산출부 및 산출된 노면의 경사도를 기초로 AEB 경보 시기를 조정하는 제어부를 포함한다.
