The present invention relates to a turning apparatus. The turning apparatus (34) turns one of a plurality of wheels included in a vehicle independently of the other wheels. The turning apparatus (34) comprises: an electric motor as a driving source; a motion converting tool (44) configured to convert a motion of the electric motor into a turning motion of a wheel; and a controller configured to realize turning of the wheel according to an operation position of the electric motor by controlling a supply current to the electric motor.

    전타 장치(34)에 있어서, 상기 전타 장치(34)는, 차량이 구비하는 복수의 차륜 중 1개를, 다른 차륜과는 독립적으로 전타하는 전타 장치(34)이며, 상기 전타 장치(34)는 구동원으로서의 전동 모터; 상기 전동 모터의 동작을 차륜의 전타 동작으로 변환하도록 구성된 동작 변환 기구(44); 및 상기 전동 모터로의 공급 전류를 제어함으로써, 상기 전동 모터의 동작 위치에 따른 차륜의 전타를 실현시키도록 구성된 컨트롤러를 포함한다.
