The present invention relates to a method of controlling an electronic parking brake of a vehicle, capable of ensuring stability through vehicle sliding prevention after contraction of a brake pad by performing contraction compensation after expansion of the brake pad due to overheating of the brake pad. The method of controlling the electronic parking brake of the vehicle includes the steps of: estimating a temperature of the brake pad when an engine is turned off by an electronic control unit (ECU) for controlling the electronic parking brake; comparing an outdoor air temperature with a preset temperature for adjusting a network-inactive time when the temperature of the brake pad estimated by the electronic control unit is determined to be high; and varying the network-inactive time according to a result of the comparison between the outdoor air temperature and the preset temperature to prevent vehicle sliding.

    브레이크 패드(Brake pad) 과열로 인한 팽창 후 수축 보상을 수행하여 브레이크 패드 수축 후 차량 밀림 방지를 통해 안정성 확보를 도모하도록 한 차량의 전자 주차 브레이크 제어방법에 관한 것으로서, 전자 주차 브레이크를 제어하는 전자 제어 장치(ECU)에서 엔진 시동이 오프되면, 브레이크 패드의 온도를 추정하는 단계, 상기 전자 제어 장치에서 추정한 브레이크 패드의 온도가 고온이라고 판단이 되면 외기 온도와 네트워크 인액티브(NETWORK INACTIVE) 시간 조절을 위해 미리 설정한 설정온도를 비교하는 단계 및 외기 온도와 설정온도의 비교결과에 따라 네트워크 인액티브 시간을 가변하여 차량 밀림을 방지하는 단계를 포함하여, 차량의 전자 주차 브레이크 제어방법을 구현한다.
