The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a cross member for a vehicle, and a cross member for a vehicle manufactured thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method of manufacturing a cross member for a vehicle comprises: a step of preparing a first molding member and a second molding member; and a step of friction-stir welding a joining target portion of the first molding member and the second molding member, wherein the first molding member is manufactured to include twining-induced plasticity including an austenite matrix structure, thereby capable of manufacturing a cross member with excellent yield strength and impact resistance.
