To improve the accuracy of detection, disclosed are a device and a method for controlling a radar for a vehicle according to the present invention. The device for controlling the radar for a vehicle according to the present invention includes: a gear information detection part which detects gear information about the gear state of the vehicle; a control part which generates a control signal for controlling the output intensity and transmission direction of a radar signal transmitted to peripheral region of the vehicle; and a transmission part which includes radar transmission units which transmit the radar signal according to the control signal.

    본 발명에 의한 차량용 레이더 제어장치 및 그 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 차량용 레이더 제어장치는 차량의 기어상태에 관한 기어정보를 감지하는 기어정보 감지부; 상기 차량의 주변영역으로 송출하는 레이더신호의 출력 세기와 송출 방향을 제어하는 제어신호를 생성하는 제어부; 및 상기 제어신호에 따라 상기 레이더신호를 송출하는 복수 개의 레이더 송신유닛들을 포함하는 송신부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 차량용 레이더 제어장치를 제안한다.
