동력식 차량은 엔진, 엔진에 결합된 입력부 및 출력부를 갖는 변속기, 및 적어도 변속기를 제어하기 위한 제어기를 포함한다. 제동 시스템은 차량의 속력을 감소시키도록 구성된 브레이크 센서 및 브레이크팩을 포함한다. 브레이크 센서는 제어기와 전기 통신하여 배치된다. 주 유압 펌프는 엔진에 의해 동작가능하게 구동되고, 출력 유압 펌프는 변속기 출력에 의해 동작가능하게 구동된다. 브레이크 냉각제 밸브는 주 유압 펌프 및 출력 유압 펌프와 유체 연통하여 배치된다. 브레이크 냉각제 밸브는 개방 위치와 폐쇄 위치 사이에서 제어된다. 주 유압 펌프 및 출력 유압 펌프는 브레이크 냉각제 밸브가 그 개방 위치에 있을 때 브레이크팩에 유체적으로 결합된다.

    A motorized vehicle (100) includes an engine (108), a transmission (118) having an input (202) coupled to the engine (108) and an output (426), and a controller (310) for controlling at least the transmission (118). A braking system includes a brake sensor (420) and a brake pack (408, 410) configured to reduce a speed of the vehicle (100). The brake sensor (420) is in electrical communication with the controller (310). A main hydraulic pump (412) is operably driven by the engine (108) and an output hydraulic pump (414) is operably driven by the transmission output (426). A brake coolant valve (416) is in fluid communication with the main hydraulic pump (412) and the output hydraulic pump (414). The brake coolant valve (416) is controlled between an open position and a closed position. The main hydraulic pump (412) and the output hydraulic pump (414) are fluidly coupled to the brake pack (408, 410) when the brake coolant valve (416) is in its open position.
