The present application relates to an auxiliary power unit, a method for controlling an exhaust duct of the auxiliary power unit, a small jet engine using the auxiliary power unit, and an aircraft including the auxiliary power unit. According to the auxiliary power unit of the present application, the method for controlling the exhaust duct of the auxiliary power unit, and the aircraft including the auxiliary power unit, it is possible to prevent damage to the surface of the aircraft, which is due to high-temperature exhaust gas, even when the exhaust gas is discharged in any flight posture during the flight of the aircraft. Accordingly, aircraft safety can be secured. In addition, the auxiliary power unit may be applicable to a small jet engine. The auxiliary power unit includes a switch; a flight control computer; an electronic control device; a servo motor; a starting control device; and an exhaust duct.
