A disclosed sound absorbing material for a tire comprises: a body in a ring shape, engaged with an inner surface of the tire; a chamber in a ring shape, formed inside and along the body; a plurality of first recessed units formed on one side of the body at regular intervals; and a plurality of second recessed units formed on the other side of the body at regular intervals not to face the first recessed units. The sound absorbing material for a tire reduces noise by increasing a surface area while reducing the weight of the sound absorbing material, and at the same time, obtains uniformity of the tire with the sound absorbing material attached.

    개시되는 타이어용 흡음재는 타이어의 내부 표면에 결합되는 고리 형태의 몸체; 몸체를 따라서 내부에 형성되는 고리 형태의 챔버; 몸체의 일측면에 등간격으로 형성되는 복수의 제1함몰부; 및 몸체의 타측면에 제1함몰부와 마주보지 않도록 등간격으로 형성되는 복수의 제2함몰부를 포함할 수 있으므로, 흡음재를 경량화하면서 표면적을 증가시켜 소음감소 효과를 얻을 수 있는 동시에 흡음재를 부착한 타이어의 균일성을 얻을 수 있다.
