To generate a feature point to be a candidate of a node of a travelling road on the basis of the trace of travelling of a mobile body.SOLUTION: A server acquires a travel trace from an in-vehicle machine via a network. The server extracts a straight liner component from the travel trace, determines the intersection between the extension of the extracted straight linear component and the extension of another straight linear component adjacent to the straight linear composition in the travel trace, and generates the intersection as a feature point if the travel trace passes within a predetermined range from the intersection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
