To prevent generation of residual pressure in a wheel cylinder even if electric failure occurs in a by-wire type vehicular braking device.SOLUTION: A vehicular braking device includes: a wheel cylinder that is provided relative to a wheel of a vehicle and to which brake fluid is introduced to generate braking force; a reservoir that stores the brake fluid; an electric cylinder that has a hydraulic chamber with a discharge hole and enables discharge and inflow of the brake fluid through sliding of a piston in response to driving of an electric motor; a brake fluid passage connecting the discharge hole and the wheel cylinder; a release fluid passage connecting the brake fluid passage and the reservoir; and a reservoir shut-off valve that is a normally opened-type solenoid valve provided in the release fluid passage, shutting off when being energized and communicating when not being energized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
