To quantitatively grasp a degree of proximity between moving objects which move in different directions, and appropriately notify a driver of a collision risk between these moving objects.SOLUTION: A collision warning device comprises: a calculation unit that repeatedly calculates a collision tolerance time at a predetermined time interval, which is obtained by dividing a distance between two moving objects by a relative speed of the two moving objects; and an output unit that outputs a warning for at least one of the two moving objects on the condition that the collision tolerance time is equal to or less than a preset threshold. The relative speed is a centripetal relative speed calculated from a centripetal speed of each of the two moving objects, which is a component of a travel speed of each of the two moving objects along a line segment connecting positions of the two moving objects, and the collision tolerance time is a centripetal collision tolerance time obtained by dividing the distance between the two moving objects by the centripetal relative speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
