The invention provides a collision warning device and a collision warning method, which can quantitatively grasp the approaching degree between moving bodies moving in different directions and properly inform a driver of the collision risk between the moving bodies. A collision warning device is provided with: a calculation unit that repeatedly calculates, at predetermined time intervals, a collision margin time obtained by dividing an inter-moving body distance, which is a distance between two moving bodies, by a relative speed of the two moving bodies; and an output unit that outputs an alarm to at least one of the two moving bodies on the condition that the collision surplus time is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold value. The relative speed is a centripetal relative speed calculated from a centripetal speed, which is a component along a line segment connecting the positions of the two moving bodies, of the respective moving speeds of the two moving bodies. The collision surplus time is a centripetal collision surplus time obtained by dividing the distance between the two moving bodies by the centripetal relative speed.

    本发明提供碰撞警报装置以及碰撞警报方法,定量地掌握向不同的方向移动的移动体间的接近的程度,将这些移动体间的碰撞风险适当地通知给驾驶员。撞警报装置具备:计算部,其以规定的时间间隔反复计算碰撞富余时间,该碰撞富余时间是将两个移动体之间的距离即移动体间距离除以所述两个移动体的相对速度而得到的;和输出部,其以所述碰撞富余时间为预先决定的阈值以下为条件,在所述两个移动体中的至少一方输出警报,所述相对速度是根据所述两个移动体各自的移动速度的、沿着连接所述两个移动体的位置的线段的分量即向心速度计算出的向心相对速度,所述碰撞富余时间是将所述两个移动体之间的距离除以所述向心相对速度而得到的向心碰撞富余时间。
