To provide a fall detection device which can set a fall detection area efficiently, by considering the variations in the stop positions of trains and the difference in cars for each train.SOLUTION: A fall detection device 4 includes: a data acquisition part 11; a stop position determination part 15; and a fall detection area setting part 13. The data acquisition part 11 acquires output data from scanner units 3a, 3b, 3c installed at the position which is a height position of a side surface of cars of a train and which opposes to a connection portion of cars when the train stops. The stop position determination part 15 determines presence/absence of deviation from a predetermined stop position of the train, based on symmetry of the output data with the scanner units 3a, 3b, 3c being the center. The fall detection area setting part 13 sets a gap fall detection area, based on the stop position of the train determined in the stop position determination part 15, by superposing a plurality of pieces of output data before predetermined time and after predetermined time which are within a stop allowable range of the train at a preset platform.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】列車の停車位置のばらつきや列車ごとの車両の違いを考慮して、効率よく転落検知エリアを設定することが可能な転落検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】転落検知装置4は、データ取得部11、停車位置判定部15、転落検知エリア設定部13を備える。データ取得部11は、列車の車両の側面の高さ位置であって列車が停車した際に車両の連結部分に対向する位置に設置された走査器ユニット3a,3b,3cからの出力データを取得する。停車位置判定部15は、走査器ユニット3a,3b,3cの位置を中心とする出力データの対称性に基づいて、列車の所定の停車位置からのずれの有無を判定する。転落検知エリア設定部13は、停車位置判定部15において判定された列車の停車位置を基準に、予め設定されたプラットホームにおける列車の停車許容範囲内となる所定時間前と所定時間後における複数の出力データを重ね合わせて、隙間転落検知エリアを設定する。【選択図】図2
