To provide a fall detection apparatus which achieves both prevention of false detection and operational duration of a system.SOLUTION: A fall detection apparatus 4 comprises a scanner state setting part 11, a trajectory information acquisition part 12, a monitoring region setting part 13, and a fall detection part 15. The scanner state setting part 11 sets a state of each of a plurality of scanners 3 which detect the presence of an object in a monitoring region to a normal state or a degeneracy state. The trajectory information acquisition part 12 acquires information indicating a state of a trajectory R adjacent to a platform P. When the state of the trajectory R is in a presence state, the monitoring region setting part 13 sets a clearance monitoring region AD between the platform P and a side surface of a train T in a scanner 3N in the normal state. In the presence state, the fall detection part 15 detects a falling person from the platform P on the basis of detection results for the presence of the object in the clearance monitoring region AD output by the scanner 3N in the normal state without referring to the detection results by a scanner 3F in the degeneracy state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】誤検知の防止とシステムの継続稼働とを両立させる。【解決手段】転落検知装置4が、走査器状態設定部11、軌道情報取得部12、監視領域設定部13および転落検知部15を備える。走査器状態設定部11は、監視領域内の物体の存否を検出する複数の走査器3の各々の状態を、通常状態および縮退状態のいずれかに設定する。軌道情報取得部12は、プラットホームPと隣接した軌道Rの状態を示す情報を取得する。軌道Rの状態が在線状態である場合に、監視領域設定部13は、通常状態にある走査器3Nにおいて、プラットホームPと列車Tの側面との間に隙間監視領域ADを設定する。在線状態において、転落検知部15は、縮退状態にある走査器3Fによる検出結果を参照せず、通常状態にある走査器3Nによって出力される隙間監視領域AD内の物体の存否についての検出結果に基づいて、プラットホームPからの転落者を検知する。【選択図】図1
