To solve the problem of a vehicular electric power control apparatus in which the occurrence of a layer short circuit in wiring is difficult to detect and may cause a vehicle fire.SOLUTION: In a vehicular electric power control apparatus 10, a layer short circuit determination section 11B compares first current detection values which are current values flowing through semiconductor fuses 22A-26A with second current detection values which are current values flowing through vehicular auxiliary devices 17-21, and determines whether or not a layer short circuit occurs in wiring between each of the semiconductor fuses 22A-26A and a corresponding one of the vehicular auxiliary devices 17-21. The occurrence of the layer short circuit in the wiring between any of the semiconductor fuses 22A-26A and the corresponding one of the vehicular auxiliary devices 17-21 is detected by such a structure, and a switch changeover section 11C cuts off a current flowing toward the corresponding one of the vehicular auxiliary devices 17-21. As a result, it is possible to prevent heat generation in the wiring where the layer short circuit occurs, and to prevent the occurrence of smoking or a vehicle fire afterward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両用電力制御装置では、配線でのレアショートの発生を検出し難く、車両火災の原因となる恐れがある。【解決手段】車両用電力制御装置10では、レアショート判定部11Bは、半導体ヒューズ22A~26Aを流れる電流値である第1の電流検出値と車両用補機17~21を流れる電流値である第2の電流検出値とを対比し、半導体ヒューズ22A~26Aと車両用補機17~21との間の配線にてレアショートが発生しているか、否かの判定を行う。この構造により、半導体ヒューズ22A~26Aと車両用補機17~21との間の配線でのレアショートの発生を検出し、スイッチ切替部11Cが、車両用補機17~21へと流れる電流を遮断する。その結果、レアショートの発生箇所の配線が発熱し、その後、発煙し、あるいは車両火災が発生することが防止される。【選択図】図1
