To naturally switch display of a back object between taken images.SOLUTION: An image processor 10 includes: a synthesis unit 14 for generating a synthesis image by partially overlapping a rear image of the back of a vehicle with a part of the vehicle side of two side images of the left back side and the right back side, respectively; a detection unit 12 for detecting an object from the rear image and the side images; and a determination unit 13 for determining whether there is a target object detected from a target region of blending processing of the rear image and the side images on the basis of the result of detecting an object. The synthesis unit 14 performs blending processing including performing transmission-processing on the region of the target object in the rear image and the region of the target object in the side images, with different transmissivity, if the presence of the target object is determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】撮影画像間における後方物体の表示を自然に切り替える。【解決手段】画像処理装置10は、車両の後方を撮影したリア画像を、左の後側方及び右の後側方をそれぞれ撮影した2つのサイド画像の車両側の一部に重ねることにより、合成画像を生成する合成部14と、リア画像及びサイド画像から物体を検出する検出部12と、物体の検出結果に基づいて、リア画像又はサイド画像のブレンド処理の対象領域から検出された対象物体の有無を判定する判定部13と、を備える。合成部14は、対象物体があると判定された場合、リア画像中の対象物体とサイド画像中の対象物体の各画像領域をそれぞれ異なる透過率で透過処理するブレンド処理を実行する。【選択図】図1
