To downsize and lighten a battery by reducing battery power out of generated power of an electric generator and battery power of the battery for satisfying flight electric power necessary during take-off in a multicopter having an electric generator driven by an engine and a chargeable/dischargeable battery.SOLUTION: A multicopter 1 includes: a plurality of rotors 25 driven by a motor 24; a chargeable/dischargeable battery 31; an electric generator 42 driven by an engine 41; and a controller 33 for controlling operations of the engine 41 and electric power supply between the electric generator 42, the battery 31 and the motor 24. The controller 33 supplies generated electric power from the electric generator 42 to the motor 24 and discharges battery electric power from the battery 31 to the motor 24 to supplement insufficient electric power that cannot be covered only with generated power in order to satisfy flight electric power necessary for a take-off, and controls the engine 41 so as to change an output response speed of the electric generator 42 in accordance with a take-off response speed acquired with a remote control 30 to limit generated current from the electric generator 42 to the motor 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】エンジンで駆動する発電機と、充放電可能なバッテリとを備えたマルチコプタにおいて、離陸時に必要な飛行電力を充足させる発電機の発電電力とバッテリのバッテリ電力のうち、バッテリ電力を低減させることでバッテリの小型化及び軽量化を図ること。【解決手段】マルチコプタ1は、モータ24で駆動する複数のロータ25、充放電可能なバッテリ31、エンジン41で駆動する発電機42、エンジン41の運転や発電機42とバッテリ31とモータ24との間の電力供給等を制御するコントローラ33を備える。コントローラ33は、離陸に必要な飛行電力を充足させるために、発電機42からモータ24へ発電電力を供給すると共に発電電力のみで不足する電力を補うためにバッテリ31からモータ24へバッテリ電力を放電させ、離陸時にリモコン30で取得する離陸応答速度に合わせて発電機42の出力応答速度を変化させるべくエンジン41を制御し、発電機42からモータ24への発電電流を制御する。【選択図】 図2
