To display an exact time until switching of lighting even at a crossing where seconds of holding lighting are varied.SOLUTION: A time display system consists of a time display unit for performing count-down display of a remaining time of blue lighting and a signal control unit connected with a signal lamp L, a vehicle sensor and the time display unit. First steps K1 and K7 and second steps K2 and K8 which are the same in a lighting state where a vehicle signal lamp L12 or a vehicle signal lamp L22 is blue lighting are provided in an aspect table T stored in the signal control unit. Holding seconds of the first steps K1 and K7 are set as variable seconds and holding seconds of the second steps K2 and K8 are set as stationary seconds, such that even at a crossing where lighting control is performed in such a manner that holding seconds of blue lighting are varied, an exact remaining time from shifting the lighting control from the first steps K1 and K7 to the second steps K2 and K8 to switching to yellow lighting of the vehicle signal lamp L12 or the vehicle signal lamp L22 can be presented to traveling vehicles which travel in accordance with the blue lighting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】点灯する保持秒数が変動する交差点であっても、点灯が切換わるまでの正確な時間を表示する。【解決手段】時間表示システムは、青点灯の残り時間のカウントダウン表示を行う時間表示部と、信号灯器L、車両感知器、及び時間表示部と接続した信号制御部とから構成されている。信号制御部に記憶された現示テーブルTに、車両用信号灯器L12又は車両用信号灯器L22が青点灯である点灯状態で同一の第1の階梯K1、K7及び第2の階梯K2、K8を設け、第1の階梯K1、K7の保持秒数を可変秒数、第2の階梯K2、K8の保持秒数を固定秒数で設定することで、青点灯の保持秒数が変動する点灯制御を行う交差点であっても、点灯制御が第1の階梯K1、K7から第2の階梯K2、K8に移行後からは、車両用信号灯器L12又は車両用信号灯器L22の黄点灯に切換わるまでの青点灯の正確な残り時間を、青点灯で走行する走行車両に対して提示できる。【選択図】図3
