To provide a technique for effectively using a wide range of photographed images obtained from a fish-eye camera for recognition processing for drive support or automatic drive.SOLUTION: An image processing device performs external recognition for drive support or automatic drive of a vehicle based on a photographed image obtained from a photographing device for photographing an image requiring distortion correction. The image processing device obtains a partial image whose distortion is corrected by setting a partial region to be subjected to distortion correction processing by moving it according to a rule and applying distortion correction processing to the partial region where the photographed image is set. When a curve mirror is detected around the vehicle, the image processing device changes the rule so that the partial region corresponding to a predetermined direction of the vehicle is preferentially set as an object of the distortion correction processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
