In both sides of the under cover 11 in a width direction, a reinforcement 13r side is joined with weaker joining force than a side sill 4r side with respect to a side sill 4r and a reinforcement 13r which are provided in a vehicle width direction of the floor panel 7. The control unit 21 determines a time (collision prediction time) |ΔT| when an approaching vehicle S, which approaches the own vehicle M from the side, collides with the own vehicle, and immediately before reaching this collision prediction time |ΔT|, a part of the under cover 11, which is joined with weak joining force, is separated to inflate and expand the under air bag 17r.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
