To efficiently generate road surface information that has relatively high reliability and covers a relatively wide range.SOLUTION: A road surface information generation device (10) generates road surface information related to the state of a road surface of an object road. The road surface information generation device comprises: calculation means (12) that, based on first information acquired from a vehicle traveling on the object road and concerning the state of the road surface of the object road, calculates road surface information on a first portion of the object road where the vehicle has actually traveled; and assumption means (13) that, based on the calculated road surface information, sets assumed road surface information on a second portion of the object road where the vehicle has not traveled. When the assumption means sets the assumed road surface information, it determines whether to set the assumed road surface information based on second information different from the first information and concerning the state of a road surface of the second portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】信頼性が比較的高く、且つ、比較的広範囲にわたる路面情報を効率的に作成する。【解決手段】路面情報作成装置(10)は、対象道路の路面の状態に係る路面情報を作成する。当該路面情報作成装置は、対象道路を走行する車両から取得される、対象道路の路面の状態に関する第1情報に基づいて、対象道路のうち車両が実際に走行した第1部分の路面情報を算出する算出手段(12)と、算出された路面情報に基づいて、対象道路のうち車両が走行していない第2部分について仮の路面情報を設定する仮定手段(13)と、を備える。仮定手段は、仮の路面情報を設定しようとするときに、第1情報とは異なる、第2部分の路面の状態に関する第2情報に基づいて、仮の路面情報を設定するか否かを決定する。【選択図】図1
