To provide a vibration suppression control device and a vibration suppression control method that control vibration suppression of a vehicle.SOLUTION: Vibration suppression control of a vehicle body is performed by adaptively switching vibration suppression modes in consideration of energy consumption (fuel efficiency or consumption of a battery) according to conditions of a vehicle, such as situations inside the vehicle, driving conditions of the vehicle, or ambient environments. In other words, when it is determined that vibration suppression stronger than present vibration suppression does not need to be performed, the vibration suppression mode is switched to a weak vibration suppression mode. In contrast, when it is determined that vibration suppression much stronger needs to be performed, the vibration suppression mode is switched to a strong vibration suppression mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
