To prevent deformation of a center pillar to an indoor side by suppressing collapse of the closed cross-sectional structure of a side sill, which is formed by butting of a side sill stiffener and a side sill inner.SOLUTION: A side sill structure of an automobile includes a side sill 11 in which a stiffener 15 and an inner 16 are joined at upper and lower flanges 15a, 16a, 15b, 16b to form a closed cross section extending in the front-rear direction, a center pillar 12 having a lower end (center pillar outer 12c) joined (x mark 28) to a side wall of the stiffener 15, and a reinforcement plate 21 that is provided inside the side sill 11 to extend in the front-rear direction and is joined (joining portion 23) to an upper wall 15c of the stiffener 15. The side sill 11 has a welded portion in which an upper flange 15a of the stiffener 15 and an upper flange 16a of the inner 16 are welded to each other at a position where the upper wall 15c of the stiffener 15 is higher than an upper wall 16c of the inner 16. The reinforcement plate 21 is configured to have a side collision interference portion 21b that interferes with the upper wall 16c of the inner 16 in a side collision state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】サイドシルスチフナ及びサイドシルインナの突合せによるサイドシルの閉断面構造の崩壊を抑制して、センタピラーの室内側への変形を防止すること。【解決手段】自動車のサイドシル構造は、スチフナ15とインナ16を上下のフランジ15a,16a,15b,16bで結合して前後に延びる閉断面を形成するサイドシル11と、スチフナ15の側壁に下端(センタピラーアウタ12c)が結合(×印28)されたセンタピラー12と、サイドシル11の内部で前後方向に延設され、スチフナ15の上壁15cに結合(結合部23)された補強プレート21とを備える。サイドシル11は、スチフナ15の上壁15cがインナ16の上壁16cよりも高い位置で、スチフナ15の上フランジ15aとインナ16の上フランジ16aとが溶接された溶接部を有し、補強プレート21は、インナ16の上壁16cに側突状態で干渉する側突干渉部21bを有する構成とした。【選択図】図4
