To provide a train automatic operation system capable of supporting automatic operation control while predicting weather conditions.SOLUTION: A train automatic operation system includes an on-vehicle device 32, a ground device 33 capable of transmitting control information to the on-vehicle device, and an external information collection device 12 acquiring weather information. The on-vehicle device includes information transmitting/receiving means capable of transmitting/receiving information to/from the ground device and operation control means for controlling the train traveling speed. The ground device includes determination means that can grasp a position of each train, determine whether a train is going to enter a predetermined setting section, and determine a variation phenomenon of adhesive force in the setting section based on the information received from the external information collection device, control information generation means for generating control information for instructing the on-vehicle device to suppress the traveling speed when the variation phenomenon of adhesive force is a predetermined level or more, and communication means 34 capable of transmitting the control information.     【課題】気象条件を予測した自動運転制御を支援することができる列車自動運転システムを提供する。【解決手段】車上装置32と車上装置へ制御情報を送信可能な地上装置33と気象情報を取得する外部情報収集装置12とを備えた列車自動運転システムにおいて、車上装置は地上装置との間で情報を送受信可能な情報送受信手段と、列車走行速度を制御する運転制御手段とを備え、地上装置は、各列車の位置を把握し所定の設定区間へ進入する列車があるか判断可能であるとともに、外部情報収集装置から受信した情報に基づいて設定区間における粘着力変動事象を判定可能な判定手段と、粘着力変動事象が所定レベル以上である場合に車上装置へ走行速度を抑えることを指示する制御情報を生成する制御情報生成手段と、制御情報を送信可能な通信手段34とを備え、運転制御手段は情報送受信手段により受信した制御情報に基づいて走行駆動装置および制動装置を制御する。【選択図】図1
