To provide a heat shielding structure of a vehicle propeller shaft which achieves improvement of rigidity of a heat shielding member to inhibit deterioration of durability of the heat shielding member due to resonance.SOLUTION: A propeller shaft 10 includes: a connection shaft 10a protruding from a transfer 18; and a main shaft 10c connected to a tip of the connection shaft 10a through a joint part 10b. A heat shielding member 20 is fixed to the transfer 18 and formed extending in a vehicle fore and aft direction so as to cover the joint part 10b. A bearing 40 which supports the heat shielding member 20 is provided between the heat shielding member 20 and a position of the connection shaft 10a located closer to the joint part 10b side than its longitudinal center. The structure allows the heat shielding member 20 to be supported in a radial direction by the bearing 40, and thus a characteristic value of rigidity can be improved compared to a case where the heat shielding member 20 is not supported by the bearing 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】遮熱部材の剛性を向上させて共振による遮熱部材の耐久性の低下を抑制する、車両用プロペラシャフトの遮熱構造を提供する。【解決手段】プロペラシャフト10は、トランスファ18から突き出す連結シャフト10aと連結シャフト10aの先端部にジョイント部10bを介して連結シャフト10aに連結されるメインシャフト10cとを含んでいる。遮熱部材20は、トランスファ18に固定され且つジョイント部10bを覆うように車両前後方向に伸びるように形成されている。遮熱部材20と連結シャフト10aの長手方向の中央よりもジョイント部10b側との間には、遮熱部材20を支持する軸受40が設けられている。これにより、遮熱部材20は、軸受40によって径方向に支持されるので、軸受40によって支持されない場合に比べて、剛性の固有値を向上させることができる。【選択図】図1
