PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve the cooling performance of a propeller shaft by outside air at the traveling of a vehicle.SOLUTION: The radiant heat of an exhaust pipe 22 is insulated or reflected by a semi-cylindrical heat insulation member 40, a joint part 32 is cooled by being exposed to outside air 50 via an opening at a vehicle lower side at the traveling of a vehicle, and a rise of a temperature of the joint part 32 resulting from the exhaust pipe 22 is suitably suppressed by the heat insulation member 40. Since a guide 52 is arranged at a small-diameter part 44, a flow of air which is generated by the rotation of a propeller shaft 18 at forward traveling is guided to a vehicle rear side by the guide 52, the interference of the air with the outside air 50 flowing to the vehicle rear side is alleviated, the air in the small-diameter part 44 comparably smoothly circulates to the vehicle rear side together with the outside air 50, cooling performance is thereby improved, and a rise of the temperature of the joint part 32 is further suitably suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】車両走行時の外気によるプロペラシャフトの冷却性能を一層向上させる。【解決手段】排気管22の輻射熱が半円筒形状の遮熱部材40によって遮断乃至は反射されるとともに、車両走行時に車両下方側の開口を介してジョイント部32が外気50に晒されることによって冷却され、排気管22に起因するジョイント部32の温度上昇が遮熱部材40によって適切に抑制される。また、小径部44にはガイド52が設けられているため、前進走行時にプロペラシャフト18の回転によって生じる空気の流れが、ガイド52によって車両後方側へ案内されるようになり、車両後方側へ流れる外気50との干渉が緩和されて、小径部44内の空気が外気50と共に比較的スムーズに車両後方側へ流通するようになり、冷却性能が向上してジョイント部32の温度上昇が一層適切に抑制される。【選択図】図5
