To provide a rack shaft which can easily perform surface treatment of a guided part supported by a rack guide when a rack teeth is molded by forging, a manufacturing method for the rack shaft, and a steering device provided with the rack shaft.SOLUTION: A rack shaft of a forged product extending in a shaft direction of a shaft center includes: a rack teeth provided for one side on both sides having the shaft center in between and arranged along the shaft direction in the state that it is seen from the shaft direction; and a guided part which is provided for the other side of both sides having the shaft center in between and is guided by the rack guide. An inflation part inflating outside in a diameter direction of an arc having the shaft center as a center in the state that it is seen from the shaft direction. A first surface to be the surface of the rack teeth and a second surface to be the surface of the guided surface are blast treatment surfaces.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】ラック歯を鍛造で成形する場合、ラックガイドに支持される被ガイド部を表面処理することが容易になるラック軸及びラック軸の製造方法、並びに、当該ラック軸を備えたステアリング装置を提供すること。【解決手段】軸心の軸方向に延びる鍛造品のラック軸であって、軸方向から見た状態で、軸心を挟んだ両側のうちの一方側に設けられ軸方向に沿って配置されるラック歯と、軸心を挟んだ両側のうちの他方側に設けられ且つラックガイドに支持される被ガイド部と、を備える。軸方向から見た状態で、軸心を中心とする円弧よりも径方向外側に膨らむ膨張部が設けられる。ラック歯の表面である第1面及び被ガイド部の表面である第2面は、ブラスト処理面である。【選択図】図5
