To recognize with high accuracy a lane on which a vehicle is traveling based on an image of a roadway captured by a camera.SOLUTION: A traveling lane recognition device 11 comprises: a camera 12 for capturing a rear area of a vehicle; a division line detection unit 15 for detecting a division line of a roadway using an image obtained from the camera 12; and a traveling lane recognition unit 16 for recognizing a lane on which the vehicle is traveling based on the detected division line. The division line detection unit 15 extracts each detection target image from a plurality of continuously captured images, recognizes a line marking position where a line marking exists in each detection target image, and repeats processing of detecting a white line or a blank from the line marking position in the order of image captured time to determine whether a division line of the roadway is a solid line or a dashed line. The traveling lane recognition unit 16 recognizes the lane on which the vehicle is traveling based on a positional relation between the solid or dashed division line and the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】カメラで撮像した車道の画像に基づき、車両が走行している車線を高精度に認識する。【解決手段】走行車線認識装置11は、車両の後方領域を撮像するカメラ12と、カメラ12から得られた画像を用いて車道の区画線を検出する区画線検出部15と、検出された区画線に基づいて、車両が走行している車線を認識する走行車線認識部16とを備えている。区画線検出部15は、連続撮像された複数の画像から検出対象画像をそれぞれ抜き出し、各検出対象画像において線状標示が存在する線状標示位置を認識し、線状標示位置から白線またはブランクを検出する処理を画像の撮像時刻順に繰り返し行うことにより、車道の区画線が実線か破線かを判断し、走行車線認識部16は実線または破線の区画線と車両との位置関係に基づいて車両が走行している車線を認識する。【選択図】図1
