To provide a quick charger which is available even in an area without a network environment and can relatively easily increase/decrease the number of users.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a quick charger 1A comprising: a charging unit 10 which performs a charging operation on an electric vehicle 2; and a recognition unit 20 which performs recognition for starting the charging operation. The recognition unit 20 includes: a storage section 21 for storing first card information relating to a predetermined first card; a reader section 22 which reads a card and acquires card information of the card; a collation section 23 which collates the card information with the first card information and permits the charging operation in a case where both the card information are coincident; a registration determination section 26 which determines whether or not to store the card information in the storage section 21 as the first card information; and a registration section 25 which stores the card information in the storage section 21 as the first card information in accordance with a determination result of the registration determination section 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
