To provide container crane remote operation system and remote control method by which a relative positional relationship between a suspended body and a cargo handling target surface positioned below the same can be grasped more easily.SOLUTION: A relative distance to a trolley 13 in a vertical direction of either a suspended body 40 or a cargo handling target surface 50 is detected by a vertical distance detector 22a, and zoom control for a photographing device 21 installed on the trolley 13 is performed by a controller 23 on the basis of the detected relative distance in the vertical direction. Next, the suspended body 40 and the cargo handling target surface 50 are photographed by the photographing device 21, and an image, which keeps a constant display size of either the suspended body 40 or the cargo handling target surface 50 which is imaged by the photographing device 21, is displayed on a display device 24 by the controller 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
