To provide an engine start control device capable of avoiding or suppressing delay of acceleration or delay of an increase in driving force when early start control is prohibited.SOLUTION: An engine start control device includes: early start determination means determining that a request for early start is standing (Step S1); early start prohibition determination means determining that a prohibition condition for prohibiting the early start is satisfied (Step S3); and vehicle speed determination means determining vehicle speed of a hybrid vehicle (Step S5). In the case where a determination that the request for the early start is standing is made and a determination that the prohibition condition is satisfied is made, if the vehicle speed is predetermined vehicle speed or higher, increase correction of torque of a first motor for cranking an engine is performed, and if the vehicle speed is lower than the predetermined vehicle speed, driving torque is increased by a second motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】早期始動制御が禁止されている場合の加速遅れあるいは駆動力増大の遅れを回避もしくは抑制できるエンジン始動制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】早期始動の要求が成立していることを判断する早期始動判断手段(ステップS1)と、早期始動を実行できない禁止条件が成立していることを判断する早期始動禁止判断手段(ステップS3)と、ハイブリッド車の車速を判断する車速判断手段(ステップS5)とを備え、早期始動の要求が成立していることが判断されかつ禁止条件が成立していることが判断されている場合に、車速が予め定めた車速以上であればエンジンをクランキングする第1モータのトルクを増大補正し、車速が予め定めた車速未満であれば第2モータによって駆動トルクを増大させるように構成されている。【選択図】図2
