To properly perform a drive control of an engine and an electric motor according to sailing conditions while avoiding the overloading states of the engine.SOLUTION: A hybrid system for a ship comprises an engine, an electric motor, a thrust generator and a clutch mechanism configured to be able to switch the connection state between them.
