To achieve desired characteristics even when a fiber-reinforced resin structure is applied to a center pillar.SOLUTION: A vehicular center pillar includes a side face part positioned at the front and rear in the vehicle lengthwise direction of a fiber-reinforced resin structure with a hollow cylindrical shape in the longitudinal direction. The side face part is formed by overlapping at least two of first, second, third and fourth fiber-reinforced resin sheets different in the orientation direction of fiber. A part of a region of the side face part in the longitudinal direction includes a first region formed on the vehicle compartment side in the vehicle width direction, and a second region formed on the vehicle exterior side in the vehicle width direction. A proportion of the third and fourth fiber-reinforced resin sheets occupied in the second region is higher than that of the third and fourth fiber-reinforced resin sheets occupied in the first region. A lower region of the side face part in the vehicle height direction includes a deformed region formed so that a proportion of a length of the second region occupied in the overall length in the vehicle width direction is higher than that of a length of the second region occupied in the overall length in the vehicle width direction in an upper region of the side face part in the vehicle height direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】センターピラーに繊維強化樹脂構造体を適用した場合であっても、所望の特性を発揮させることを可能とする。【解決手段】車両用センターピラーにおいて、長手方向に中空の筒状を有する繊維強化樹脂構造体の車長方向の前後に位置する側面部は、繊維の配向方向が異なる第1、第2、第3及び第4の繊維強化樹脂シートの少なくとも2つ以上が重ね合わせられて形成され、側面部の長手方向の一部の領域は、車幅方向の車室側に形成される第1の領域と、車幅方向の車外側に形成される第2の領域と、を有し、第2の領域に占める第3及び第4の繊維強化樹脂シートの割合は、第1の領域に占める第3及び第4の繊維強化樹脂シートの割合よりも高く、側面部の車高方向の下部領域に、車幅方向の長さ全体に占める第2の領域の長さの割合が、側面部の車高方向の上部領域における車幅方向の長さ全体に占める第2の領域の長さの割合よりも高い変形領域を備える。【選択図】図5
