To provide a tire performance simulation method by which rolling characteristics can be more surely evaluated while suppressing a calculation cost.SOLUTION: A simulation method including: a step S1 at which a tire model is set; a step S2 at which a road surface model is set; a step S4 at which ground analysis for grounding the tire model to the road surface model is performed; and a step S5 at which rolling analysis for the ground tire model is performed. At the rolling analysis step, a calculation step for rolling analysis is performed at each slip ratio or each slip angle while gradually increasing a slip ratio or a slip angle as rolling conditions, a physical amount (longitudinal force Fx, cornering force CF, self-aligning torque SAT and so on) concerning an axial force acting on a rotation axis of the tire model is determined at each calculation step, and determination as to whether rolling analysis is continued or terminated is performed on the basis of the determined physical amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】計算コストを抑えつつ、より確実に転動特性を評価することができるタイヤ性能のシミュレーション方法を提供する。【解決手段】タイヤモデルを設定するステップS1と、路面モデルを設定するステップS2と、タイヤモデルを路面モデルに接地させる接地解析を行うステップS4と、接地させたタイヤモデルの転動解析を行うステップS5と、を含むシミュレーション方法において、転動解析ステップでは、転動条件としてのスリップ率又はスリップ角を徐々に増加させつつ各スリップ率又は各スリップ角で転動解析の計算ステップを行い、該計算ステップ毎にタイヤモデルの回転軸に作用する軸力に関する物理量(前後力Fx、コーナリングフォースCF、セルフアライニングトルクSATなど)を求め、求めた物理量に基づいて転動解析を継続するか又は終了するかの判定を行う。【選択図】図3
