PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform simulation and evaluation with accuracy and in a short time, in evaluating rolling resistance performance or the like of a tire.SOLUTION: A simulation method of a tire forms a flat plate-like finite element model indicating the ground surface of a tire 10, performs finite element analysis for simulating compression deformation to a tire width direction and tire circumferential direction with respect to the flat plate-like model, and then calculates relationship between a displacement amount in the tire circumferential direction and a load required for imparting the displacement amount. Then, on the basis of the relationship between the displacement amount in the tire circumferential direction and the load, the simulation method calculates circumferential compression rigidity in a tread part. A tire performance evaluation method performs evaluation such that rolling resistance performance is higher as the circumferential compression rigidity is larger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】タイヤの転がり抵抗性能等を評価するに際して、精度よく短時間でシミュレーションおよび評価を行うこと。【解決手段】まず、タイヤ10の接地面を示す平板状の有限要素モデルを形成し、平板モデルに対してタイヤ幅方向およびタイヤ周方向への圧縮変形を模擬する有限要素法解析を行ってタイヤ周方向の変位量と当該変位量を与えるのに必要な荷重との関係を算出する。そして、タイヤ周方向の変位量と荷重との関係に基づいて、トレッド部における周圧縮剛性を算出し、周圧縮剛性が大きいほど転がり抵抗性能が高いと評価する。【選択図】図3
