To solve the problem of a conventional escalator step cleaning device in practical use in which materials of components of the device are not specified.SOLUTION: For an escalator 1 comprising a step 3 moving from the outbound route to the return route, a floor plate 2A constituting an entrance 2 to the step 3, and a comb plate 4 fixed to a front end portion of the floor plate 2A and meshing with a groove 3B of the step, there is provided a footstep cleaning device 6 comprising: a thin steel plate substrate 6A sandwiched in the vertical direction between a flat portion 2B provided on the floor plate 2A and a root portion 4A of the comb plate 4; and a brush body 6B made of a flame-retardant material located in a space Z at the front end portion of the floor plate 2A, and extended to the step 3 side in a state where it is planted on a synthetic resin base material 6C configured integrally with the substrate 6A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】 従来のエスカレーター用踏段清掃装置は、それを構成する装置の材料の特定がなく、実用面での問題を有していた。【解決手段】 このため本発明は、往路から復路にかけて移動する踏段3と、この踏段3への乗降口2を構成する床板2Aと、この床板2Aの先端部に固定されて前記踏段の溝3Bに噛みあうくし板4を備えたエスカレーター1において、前記床板2Aに設けられた平坦部2Bと前記くし板4の根元部4Aとの間で上下方向に挟まれる薄鋼板製の基板6Aと、前記床板2Aの先端部の空間Zに位置し、前記基板6Aと一体的に構成された合成樹脂製の基材6Cに植立された状態で踏段3側に延設された難燃材料製のブラシ体6Bからなる清掃装置6を設けた。【選択図】図3
