To provide a quay crane and a motor capacity determination method for the quay crane, which are capable of reducing cost and a motor weight by reducing the total capacity of four motors while preventing interference with operations of a trolley and a suspension tool.SOLUTION: The capacity ratios of two seaside motors M2, M4 to two land-side motors M1, M3 are determined on the basis of the ratio of a hoisting speed Vh to a traverse-motion speed Vt of a suspension tool 8 when the suspension tool 8 traversely moves to a land side while being hoisted within a range where the capacities of the two seaside motors M2, M4 are smaller than those of the two land-side motors M1, M3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】トロリ及び吊具の動作に支障が生じることを防止しつつ、4つのモータの合計容量を小さくして、コストの低減とモータ重量の低減を図ることができる岸壁クレーン及び岸壁クレーンのモータ容量決定方法を提供する。【解決手段】2つの海側モータM2、M4の各容量が2つの陸側モータM1、M3の各容量よりも小さくなる範囲で、吊具8が巻き上げられながら陸側に横行する際の吊具8の巻き上げ速度Vhと横行速度Vtとの比率に基づいて、2つの海側モータM2、M4の各容量と2つの陸側モータM1、M3の各容量の比率を決定する。【選択図】図2
