PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus that executes pre-collision control appropriately in accordance with a degree of damage at collision.SOLUTION: A pre-collision control execution apparatus, for use in executing pre-collision control for preparing for a collision with an obstacle, performs: calculating a position of collision with the obstacle and a collision angle with which the obstacle collides with a vehicle itself SV at the collision position; identifying a break-through direction that is a moving direction of the obstacle relative to the vehicle itself in a case where the obstacle is assumed to collide at a collision angle at the collision position and then breaks through the vehicle itself; then calculating a break-through distance representing a distance between a position at which the obstacle breaks through the vehicle itself and a collision position in the case of being assumed that the obstacle moves in the break-through direction from the collision position, thus breaking through the vehicle itself; and setting a threshold distance at a value that decreases proportionately as the break-through direction becomes closer in a vehicle width direction of the vehicle itself, and, in the case of the break-through distance being equal to or larger than the set threshold distance, executing the pre-collision control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
【課題】衝突時の傷害度に応じて適切に衝突前制御が実施される装置を提供する。【解決手段】障害物との衝突に備えるための衝突前制御を実施する衝突前制御装置であって、障害物との衝突位置を算出し、衝突位置にて障害物が自車両SVと衝突する衝突角度を算出する。衝突前制御装置は、障害物が衝突位置にて衝突角度で衝突し且つ自車両を突き抜けると仮定した場合における障害物の自車両に対する移動方向である突き抜け方向を特定する。次に、衝突前制御装置は、障害物が衝突位置から突き抜け方向に移動することによって自車両を突き抜けると仮定した場合における衝突位置と障害物が自車両を突き抜ける位置との間の距離を示す突き抜け距離を算出する。衝突前制御装置は、閾値距離を、突き抜け方向が自車両の車幅方向に近くなるほど小さくなる値に設定し、突き抜け距離が設定した閾値距離以上である場合、衝突前制御を実施する。【選択図】図6
