PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear axle support structure for a motorcycle capable of lightening a rear end of a rear fork.SOLUTION: A rear fork 10 pivotally supported on a vehicle body to be capable of being vertically oscillated is formed of a square pipe steel 11, and provided with end pieces 20 pivotally supporting a rear shaft 30 in a rear end part of the square pipe steel 11. The end piece 20 comprises: an outside plate 21 which has a shaft hole 21h piercing in the vehicle width direction and which is positioned outside in the vehicle width direction; and an inside plate 22 which has a shaft hole 22h piercing in the vehicle width direction and which is positioned inside in the vehicle width direction; and a cavity 13 made hollow with periphery edges 21e, 22e of the respective outside and the inside plates joined together. The outside plate 21 comprises: expansion units 21b each expanding outside in the vehicle width direction on a top side and a bottom side; and a recess unit 21c which is relatively recessed inward in the vehicle width direction between the top and bottom expansion units 21b, 21b, and which has a shaft hole 21h.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】リヤフォーク後端を軽くすることができる自動二輪車の後車軸支持構造を提供する。【解決手段】車体に上下揺動可能に枢支されるリヤフォーク10を角パイプ11で形成し、角パイプ11の後端部に後車軸30を軸支するエンドピース20を設ける。エンドピース20は、車幅方向に貫通する軸孔21hを有し車幅方向外側に位置する外プレート21と、車幅方向に貫通する軸孔22hを有し車幅方向内側に位置する内プレート22との周縁21e、22e同士を接合して内部13を中空とし、外プレート21は、上辺と下辺にそれぞれ車幅方向外方へ膨出し前後方向へ延びる膨出部21bと、これら上下の膨出部21b,21bの間で相対的に車幅方向内方へ凹み軸孔21hを有する凹部21cとを備えている。【選択図】図2
