PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision avoidance support system capable of shortening the time required for processing a determination of collision between a vehicle subjected to support of collision avoidance and an obstacle by suppressing the quantity of information which the vehicle receives from the outside.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle communication machine 140 transmits a moving state of a vehicle 100 to a portable information terminal 200 that determines whether collision between the vehicle 100 and a pedestrian occurs based on the moving state of the vehicle 100 and a moving state of the pedestrian. When the collision between the vehicle 100 and the pedestrian occurs, the on-vehicle communication machine 140 receives the moving state of the pedestrian as a determination target when the portable information terminal 200 determines that the vehicle 100 collides with the pedestrian. Based on the moving state received by the on-vehicle communication machine 140 and the moving state of the vehicle 100, avoidance of the collision of the vehicle to the pedestrian as a determination target is then supported via a collision avoidance support ECU 130.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】衝突回避の支援を行う車両が外部から受信する情報量を抑えることにより、車両と障害物との衝突判定の処理に要する時間を短縮することのできる衝突回避支援システムを提供する。【解決手段】車載通信機140は、自車両100の移動状況と歩行者の移動状況とに基づいて前記自車両100と歩行者との衝突が生じるか否かを判定する携帯情報端末200に自車両100の移動状況を送信する。また、車載通信機140は、自車両100と歩行者との衝突が生じると携帯情報端末200が判定したときの当該判定の対象となった歩行者の移動状況を受信する。そして、車載通信機140が受信した移動状況と自車両100の移動状況とに基づき、判定の対象となった歩行者に対する自車両の衝突回避を衝突回避支援ECU130を通じて支援する。【選択図】図1
