PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorption member which has high rigidity for preventing the large deformation of a cabin caused by a collision, absorbs an impact by being buckled when an occupant collides with the impact absorption member, and can protect the occupant.SOLUTION: This impact absorption member has a skeleton part including a continuous carbon fiber and resin, a rib part including at least resin, and supported to the skeleton part, and a buffer part. A hollow part is formed by the surrounding of the rib part by the skeleton part and the buffer part, the rib part has a root part and a buckled part which is lower than the root part in rigidity sequentially from the skeleton part, and the resin constituting the root part and the resin constituting the buckled part are continued to each other, thus absorbing an impact without causing the displacement of the root part and the buckled part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】衝突によるキャビンの大きな変形を防止できる高い強度を有すると共に、衝撃吸収部材に乗員がぶつかったときには座屈してその衝撃を吸収し、乗員を保護できる衝撃吸収部材を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明の衝撃吸収部材は、連続する炭素繊維と樹脂とを含む骨格部と、少なくとも樹脂を含み、上記骨格部に支持されたリブ部と、緩衝部と、を有する。そして、上記骨格部と上記緩衝部とで、上記リブ部を囲んで中空部を形成し、上記リブ部が、上記骨格部側から順に根元部と、該根元部よりも剛性が低い座屈部とを有し、上記根元部を構成する樹脂と上記座屈部を構成する樹脂とが連続しており、根元部座屈部がずれずに衝撃を吸収できる。【選択図】図2
