PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travelling environment prediction device which predicts a change in a situation around a mobile.SOLUTION: A travelling environment prediction device 1 comprises: a sound acquisition part 10 mounted on a mobile to be boarded by a person, and configured to acquire sounds around the mobile; a sound data storage part 11 configured to store the sounds that are acquired by the sound acquisition part 10, as sound data; a calculation part 12 which uses sound data stored in the sound data storage part 11 from prior to a predetermined time up to the present to successively calculate probability distribution that characterizes a statistical nature of a sound signal and calculates kurtosis of the probability distribution; a calculation result storage part 13 for storing the kurtosis each time the kurtosis is calculated by the calculation part 12; and a prediction part 14 which predicts a change in an environment around the mobile on the basis of a transition form of the kurtosis that is stored in the calculation result storage part 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
