PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling resistance evaluation method for giving an exciting force to a tire even when a load roll is not further excited after the load roll is pressed against the tire and capable of evaluating a rolling resistance of the tire.SOLUTION: A rolling resistance evaluation device 10 of a tire 2 includes: a load roll 44 having a surface simulated to a road surface on which a tire 2 runs; a load sensor 38; a position sensor 37; and a rolling resistance evaluation part 49 for comparing a phase difference deriving part 48 for deriving a phase difference between a variation of the load and the variation of a surface position of the load roll 44 and the phase difference derived by the phase difference deriving part 48 and the rolling resistance of the tire to be an estimation object. The load roll 44 is an eccentric roll in which a rotation axis becomes eccentric, a polygon of a polygonal shape in the cross-section or an elliptic roll of an elliptic shape in the cross-section. The load roll is pressed against the tire 2 by the predetermined load, and the position thereof is fixed, and rotates accompanied with the rotation of the tire 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】負荷ロールをタイヤに押し付けた後、更に負荷ロールを加振しなくてもタイヤに加振力を与え、タイヤの転がり抵抗を評価できる転がり抵抗評価装置を提供する。【解決手段】タイヤ2が走行する路面を模擬した表面を有する負荷ロール44と、荷重センサ38と、位置センサ37と、荷重の変動と負荷ロール44の表面の位置の変動との位相差を導出する位相差導出部48と、位相差導出部48が導出した位相差とを比較し、評価対象となるタイヤの転がり抵抗を評価する転がり抵抗評価部49と、を備えたタイヤ2の転がり抵抗評価装置10であって、負荷ロール44が、回転軸が偏心した偏心ロール、断面が多角形状の多角形ロール、または断面が長円の長円ロールであり、負荷ロールが、所定の荷重でタイヤ2に押し付けられると共に位置が固定され、タイヤ2の回転に伴なって回転する。【選択図】図5
