PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric railway vehicle capable of enhancing continuity of power supply from a storage battery.SOLUTION: An electric railway vehicle of one embodiment comprises: a main motor; a current collector supplied with power from overhead power lines; a power storage device charging the power supplied from the current collector; and a power conversion device converting the power supplied from the current collector and the power storage device, and supplying the power converted to the main motor. Each of pairs of switching parts in the power storage device can switch a state between a first state where a positive electrode and a negative electrode of a battery pack interposed between a positive electrode side switching part and a negative electrode side switching part are connected to a main line and a second state where the positive electrode and the negative electrode of the battery pack interposed between the positive electrode side switching part and the negative electrode side switching part are bypassed by a bypass line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】蓄電池からの電力供給の継続性を高めることができる電気鉄道車両を提供することである。【解決手段】実施形態の電気鉄道車両は、主電動機と、架線から電力が供給される集電装置と、集電装置から供給された電力を充電する蓄電装置と、集電装置および蓄電装置から供給された電力を変換し、変換した電力を主電動機に供給する電力変換装置と、を備え、蓄電装置におけるそれぞれの一対の切替部は、正極側切替部および負極側切替部によって間に挟む組電池の正極および負極を主線路に接続させる第1の状態と、正極側切替部および負極側切替部によって間に挟む組電池の正極および負極をバイパス線路でバイパスする第2の状態と、の間で状態が切り替え可能である。【選択図】図1
