PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device that when a scene where during travelling in a single-drive EV mode the mode is switched to a parallel stepped-shift mode occurs, selects acceleration of torque transmission when an acceleration request is high and suppresses shock in starting an engine when the acceleration request is low.SOLUTION: The vehicle control device, when an acceleration request is high, can accelerate torque transmission by first engaging a clutch C1 or a brake B1 to start an engine 12 and engaging a clutch CS after starting the engine 12, so as to respond to the acceleration request, and when the acceleration request is low, can suppress shock in starting the engine 12 by first engaging the clutch CS to start the engine 12 and engaging the clutch C1 or the brake B1 after starting the engine 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11

    【課題】単駆動EVモードの走行中にパラレル有段モードへ切り替える場面が発生したときに、加速要求の大きい場合にはトルク伝達の早さを選択し、加速要求の小さい場合にはエンジンの始動ショックを抑制する。【解決手段】加速度要求が大きい場合は、先ずクラッチC1またはブレーキB1を係合し、エンジン12を始動し、エンジン12の始動後にクラッチCSを係合することでトルク伝動を早めることで加速要求に応え、また加速度要求が小さい場合は、先ずクラッチCSを係合し、エンジン12を始動し、エンジン12の始動後にクラッチC1またはブレーキB1を係合することでエンジン12の始動ショックを抑制することができる。【選択図】図11
